Pharmacy Practice Survey

We are conducting a survey to assess best practices for pediatric hospital pharmacies. The survey is designed to gather information about:
  1. Number of pharmacist employed in a pediatric hospital
  2. Number of pediatric beds (ICU vs. General Peds vs. Specialty)
  3. Pediatric pharmacist to patient ratio and training provided to pediatric pharmacists.
  4. And so on…
The information gathered from the survey will help us develop best practice recommendations for pediatric pharmacies nationwide as it relates to staffing requirements, training requirements, work load, pharmacist to patient ratios. With the current pharmacist shortage, often times the pediatric pharmacies are understaffed which results in an inability for pharmacists to provide the attention to detail required in a pediatric environment.

Participation in this survey is completely voluntary but your participation in this survey can help us improve the working conditions in pediatric pharmacies and patient care. Your participation is appreciated. If you participate in this survey, PPAG will award a free one-year membership per institution.

The response deadline for the survey has been extended to May 31, 2009.
