26th Annual PPAG Meeting and 2017 Pediatric Pharmacy Conference

The PPAG Education Committee is seeking submissions for speakers/topics for our Annual Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina from May 3-7, 2017. We will be accepting proposals for the Conference and also for Student Programming at the Annual Meeting.

1. A Call for Proposals for the Annual Meeting

The Conference will have two dedicated focus areas: Medication Safety/Technology and Pediatric Critical Care.  This year we are seeking relevant proposals from our members. You can suggest a topic or submit a full CE proposals.  Please note: All proposals will be also be considered for our PPAG-U BCPPS Recertification Program.

Process Timeline

  • September 19, 2016             All proposal submissions due for Annual Meeting
  • September 26, 2016            Proposals sent to the committee for review
  • October 24, 2016                 Speakers selected by committee
    • November 7, 2016                Selection decisions will be delivered via email
      • (selected and non-selected individuals will be notified), Speaker agreements will be sent
  • November 21, 2016              Acceptance and speaker packets due
  • December 2016, TBA           Selected sessions notified for recertification
  • January 16, 2017                   Slides MUST be turned in by Presenters
    • Recertification Sessions: Post Test Questions Due
  • January 23, 2017                  Slides sent to Reviewers for feedback
  • February 20, 2017                Slide feedback due for Reviewers
  • March 6, 2017                       Feedback sent to speakers
  • April 3, 2017                          FINAL Slides for handouts due (Late submissions
    • will not be accepted and the proposal will no longer be eligible for presentation)
  • April 17, 2017                         FINAL Slides for presentation due
    • May 3-7, 2017                        Annual Meeting!

Submit Your Proposal

The Full Proposal requires speaker(s), topic, session title, learning objectives, learning strategies, and educational need.

The Partial Proposal requires suggested speaker(s), topic, session title, and possible objectives/description of content to be covered.

2. A Call for Proposals for Student Programming at the Annual Meeting

In the last few years, PPAG has seen tremendous growth in the number of student groups, and these excited student pharmacists are eager to learn more about pediatric pharmacy.Pharmacy residents and new pharmacy faculty members are the ideal individuals to provide education to this group because they understand topics that may interest these students. We are again asking interested residents and faculty members to submit proposals for a 20-25 minute presentation ideas for consideration.
