Call for Helms Award Nominations Deadline: October 30, 2020 (new) Submit your Nomination |
Established in 2006, the Helms Award recognizes (1) exemplary pediatric patient care, and (2) sustained and meritorious contributions to pediatric pharmacy practice, and (3) sustained and meritorious contributions to PPA, and (4) contributions to education, precepting, and/or mentorship (5) contributions of new knowledge (scholarship) To be eligible for the award, nominees should be a practitioner who has made a lasting contribution to pediatric pharmacy practice. Nominees must be in pediatric pharmacy practice for a minimum of fifteen (15) years and an active member of PPA for a minimum of five (5) continuous years. More Information |

Call for Annual Meeting Session Proposals in Infectious Disease and Pediatric ICU Deadline: October 30 (new) Submit Your Proposal |
The PPA Education Committee is seeking submissions for sessions at our 2021 Annual Conference in Norfolk, VA. The Conference has two dedicated focus areas: Infectious Disease and Pediatric ICU. You may submit a full proposal (which includes title, speakers, learning objectives, learning methods, and educational needs assessment), or you can submit a partial proposal (which includes suggested title, speakers, and learning objectives). Please note that all proposals will be considered for our PPA-U BCPPS recertification program. |

PPA has seen tremendous growth in the number of student groups and student participation at our Annual Meeting. These excited student pharmacists are eager to learn more about pediatric pharmacy. Pharmacy residents and new faculty members are the ideal individuals to provided education to this group because they understand the topics that may interest these students. If you are interested in providing a 20-30 minute presentation at a national meeting, please submit your ideas for consideration! |

PPA has established the first scholarship available to pharmacy students who have demonstrated dedication to pediatric pharmacy practice and have expressed an interest in pursuing a career as a pharmacist specializing in pediatrics. Each year PPA will select two [2] recipients, each of whom will receive a $500 (US dollars) scholarship. More Information |

Poster Presentations are informal discussions of current projects in pharmacy practice with meeting attendees. It is your opportunity share successful programs that have worked in pediatric healthcare systems, and to pick up ideas from others. All practitioners, investigators, post-doctoral trainees, and students in the field of pediatric clinical pharmacy, whether members of PPA or not, are invited to submit abstracts of papers to be considered for platform or poster presentation at the Annual PPA Meeting and Pediatric Pharmacy Conference. We are accepting poster abstracts in the following categories: Scientific/Research, Case Reports, Best Practice, Scholarship in Teaching, and Student. More Information |

The PPA Resident Showcase is designed to provide pharmacy residents and fellows with an opportunity to make formal presentations of their projects or research in a relaxed professional setting, discuss clinical or administrative case experiences, have open forum discussions, meet leaders in pediatric pharmacy, and broaden relationships with other residents and fellows.
