Dr. Steve Martin, PharmD, BCPPS will conduct a 1-hour knowledge-based continuing education webinar program on the management of pediatric heart failure. We face many challenges in this patient population which include determining what adult data should be extrapolated. While some similarities exist between adult and pediatric heart failure, the nuances will be explored and vetted.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Define pediatric heart failure with corresponding pathophysiologic processes
2. Differentiate the clinical presentation of heart failure between infants, children, and adults
3. Identify the etiologic differences in pediatric heart failure compared to adult heart failure
4. Design a medication regimen for acute and chronic pediatric heart failure
5. Recognize comorbidities associated with pediatric chronic heart failure

ACPE logo PPAG has accredited this knowledge-based webinar for 1.0 contact hours (0.10 CEUs) of continuing education credit for pharmacists. UAN #0180-0000-17-008-H01-P.
