Association Staff Leadership
Matthew Helms, MA, CAE
Matthew Helms has been the Executive Director of the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group since 2003. Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science (history minor) from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1998. He earned Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee in 2009. Matt earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2009.
Matt directs all day-to-day operations of PPAG. He provides direction and policy interpretation to volunteer leadership. He manages all aspects of membership services, develops new services, coordinates continuing education programs, and solicits sponsorships, grants, and donations.
Since 2004 Matt has been a member of the ASAE, The Center for Association Leadership and the Tennessee Society of Association Executives. He served on the TNSAE Board of Directors, where served as President and Chair of the Board. Matt has also served on the Board of Memphis Challenge. He was also appointed to and served on the Shelby County (Tennessee) Head Start Policy Advisory Council.

Jennifer Chow, PharmD
Director, Professional Development
Jennifer W. Chow, PharmD is currently Director of Professional Development at PPAG. Prior to her current appointment she was a consultant for educational programming. In her role she assists with planning Continuing Education programs and events, including the Annual Conference, webinars, and Board Certification Review and Recertification Courses. In her current role serves as a Co-Editor of the PediaPharm Prep Advanced Guide.
Dr. Chow is a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Christian Brothers University in 2000 and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in Memphis in 2005. She completed a residency in pediatric pharmacotherapy at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 2006.
After completing her residency, Jennifer was the General Pediatrics Clinical Specialist for the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA. She helped develop and was the director of the pharmacist-run RSV Prevention Clinic. She continues to work with CHKD as an independent consultant. Jennifer has been a member of PPAG since 2005. She has presented poster presentations, been a presenter at PPAG Annual Conferences and received PPAG Best Practice Awards.
Jennifer is currently the President of the Lipman School PTA.
