Summary

At the end of this session, the attendee will have a better understanding of the purpose of an environmental monitoring and how to establish a program. They will also be given an overview of the process of investigating microbial excursions in their cleanroom environment.

Presentation Objectives

  • Explain the importance and limitations of an Environmental Monitoring Program.
  • Identify the biggest source of contamination in a cleanroom environment.
  • List the general steps for investigating a microbial excursion.
  • Explain how to document the remediation and any new procedures/policies/processes as a result of an investigation.

This is a knowledge-based CE activity and is targeted to pharmacists and technicians.
